Barbers' collective Origin Cut is holding a haircut event " Best Joy " for your unwavering support!
Origin Cut, a group of barbers that contribute to society through haircuts, hosted a haircut event to give ongoing support on December 15, 2021 (Wednesday) at Best Joy Kikusui (1-2-18, Kikusui 1-jo, Shiroishi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido).

Origin Cut collaborates with Ueda Barbershop and non-profit organizations in Sapporo on a social welfare program.
In September 2021, a crowdfunding campaign was launched to sponsor activities such as free on-site haircuts at welfare centers for persons with impairments. The goal of 500,000 yen in support was met.

Barbershops started the Origin Cut initiative to promote social welfare. This year's haircut event included haircuts for 12 persons with mental and developmental challenges.

"Seeing everyone's reactions progressively alter as their look and sentiments change via the cut made me happy too," says Noritaka Iwasaki, spokesperson of Origin Cut. From now on, I intend to spread this activity "from Hokkaido to Japan, from Hokkaido to the world." He made a remark.
We look forward to Origin Cut's continued success as it expands its operations and spreads its message from Hokkaido to the rest of the world.

Origin Cut is

Origin Cut

Origin Cut is a barbershop effort that encourages barbers to volunteer in order to enhance social welfare. Our motto as a global citizen is to contribute to society through haircuts and world peace. The campaign originated in Philadelphia and is now based in California and Japan in the United States. The program has now extended to Sapporo, where we are collaborating with Ueda Barbershop and local non-profit organizations to bring joy to everyone, one haircut at a time.
